Coimbatore: VBJ (Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers), India’s trusted heirloom jewellery brand, has expanded its retail presence with the launch of its largest showroom in Tamil Nadu on Coimbatore’s 100 Feet Road. Spanning 21,000 sq. ft. across three floors, the new showroom marks a significant milestone in the brand’s expansion beyond Chennai.

With a 126-year legacy of design and craftsmanship, VBJ brings together in-house design, manufacturing and retail. The showroom features gold, precious and jadau jewellery on the ground floor, while the first floor showcases diamonds, solitaires and platinum collections. For the first time in Coimbatore, customers can explore premium diamonds certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). The silver jewellery and silverware section, along with Atelier by VBJ, its exclusive luxury offering featuring private viewing lounges and personalised services, will open shortly.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Amarendran Vummidi, Managing Partner, VBJ, said Coimbatore’s strong business community and appreciation for fine jewellery make it an important market for the brand. Mr. Jithendra Vummidi, Managing Partner, VBJ, added that the showroom offers an extensive bridal jewellery portfolio, distinctive designs and a wider selection to meet evolving customer expectations.

As part of the launch celebrations, VBJ is offering 20% off on making charges and value addition on gold, diamond, platinum, precious stone jewellery and silverware, 10% off on silver jewellery, and an additional ₹125 per gram on old gold exchanges.

The expansion aligns with VBJ’s growth strategy across Tamil Nadu and Telangana, including Tiruchirappalli and Hyderabad, alongside plans to expand its US presence into Milpitas, California. The brand aims to achieve revenues exceeding ₹5,000 crore by FY 2027–28.

As a fifth-generation family-run jeweller, VBJ is also renowned for creating the historic Sengol, reinstated in India’s new Parliament, and its tribute to the Shree Ramcharitmanas at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.
