Prominent industrialist, philanthropist, and community leader N. Tarachand Dugar launched his biography, Life Lessons – From a Self-Made Businessman, before a distinguished gathering at the Vivekananda College Auditorium in Chennai on Sunday.

The launch commenced in the revered presence of spiritual leader Shri Shrutmuniji alongside several eminent dignitaries. The book was officially unveiled by Chief Guest R. Thyagarajan, Founder-Chairman of the Shriram Group. Other notable personalities in attendance included real estate entrepreneur Dhaman Prakash Rathod; M. Kishore Menon, founder of Techwing Communications Limited; retired senior government official R. Janakiraman; S. Mahaveer Chand Bothra, jeweler and former Rotary District Governor; and Abhai S. Srisrimal of Shasun Pharmaceuticals and trustee of S.S. Shasun Jain College.
Addressing the audience with profound gratitude and humility, Dugar shared that releasing his biography felt like a special blessing. He noted that every turn and milestone in his journey offered valuable lessons that helped him gain clarity and contribute meaningfully to society. Dedicating the book to his wife, Pushpadevi, Dugar credited her with giving him the strength to transform every adversity into an opportunity. He also expressed his deep thanks to spiritual leaders Shri Shrutmuniji and Shri Aksharmuniji for their guidance and blessings.
Born in Tiruttani, Dugar later moved to Chennai and completed his schooling at A.G. Jain High School in Sowcarpet. Over the decades, he has built a strong legacy in business and social welfare, guided by his core belief that service to humanity is service to God. A Past District Governor of Rotary International District 3230 (1987–88)—a region that then spanned from Chennai to Thiruvannamalai—Dugar is also the founder-president of the World Veg Council. He is founder and chairman of Dugar Group of Companies; President of D.K.M.M. Homeopathic Medical College Hospital, Aurangabad; National Executive Committee Member, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), New Delhi
Highlighting Dugar’s disciplined lifestyle, Past Rotary District Governor Rtn. Mahaveer Chand Bothra remarked that at 83, Dugar still works with the energy and agility of a Gen-Z leader. Bothra noted that Dugar remains deeply involved in social service, exercises regularly, takes no prescription medications, and strictly observes five days of fasting every month in accordance with Jain tradition, adding that his vision, discipline, and lifelong commitment will serve as a deep source of inspiration for younger generations.
