Trichy: Kia India has entered India’s premium three-row SUV segment with the launch of the Kia Sorento, one of the brand’s most successful global SUV nameplates. The India-spec Sorento is priced from INR 27.99 lakh for the Diesel and INR 29.49 lakh for the Hybrid (ex-showroom), with deliveries commencing nationwide from today.
The Sorento marks Kia’s first Hybrid offering in India and is the first SUV in its segment to offer a Hybrid powertrain with All-Wheel Drive (AWD). Locally produced at Kia India’s Anantapur facility, the SUV combines global engineering with India-specific development.
Powertrain options include a Smartstream 1.6 Turbo GDI Hybrid, producing 180 PS and 265 Nm, paired with a 65 PS electric motor delivering 264 Nm, alongside a Smartstream 2.2 Diesel developing 193 PS and 442 Nm. Built on Kia’s global N3 platform, the Sorento is offered in six- and seven-seater configurations.
The SUV features 30 ADAS Level 2+ functions, up to 10 airbags and Kia’s 26 Standard Safety Package. It also introduces the Kia AI Assistant with Real-Time Generative AI capabilities, making its global debut on Sorento and marking a first for Kia’s global product line-up.

The Sorento also offers Kia Connect 2.0 with 85+ connected features, OTA updates, Digital Key 2.0, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with first-in-segment comfort and convenience features.
