The 2nd World Meditation Day was meaningfully observed on 21 December 2025 at Echotel Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand . The programme was organized by Narchinthanai Vattam (NCV), Chennai, in association with the Indian Yoga Association (IYA), Tamil Nadu State Chapter.
The event witnessed the active participation of 60 enthusiastic participants, highlighting the growing global acceptance of meditation as a vital practice for inner harmony, mental clarity, and holistic well-being.
Following the inaugural celebration held in Bali, Indonesia, in December 2024, the celebration at Bangkok marked another milestone in expanding the World Meditation Day movement, aimed at promoting meditation as a universal practice for peace and inner transformation.
The programme was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Professor Dr. R. Elangovan, Secretary, IYA, Tamil Nadu State Chapter, whose dedicated contributions to yoga education and meditation continue to inspire practitioners worldwide. The session began with a thoughtful welcome address by Mr. G. Radhakrishnan, Founder and President of the National Yoga Association of India and the Yoga Federation of Asia, who emphasized the universal relevance of meditation in nurturing emotional balance, mental well-being, and peaceful coexistence.
The highlight of the event was a guided meditation session led by Professor Dr. R. Elangovan. Through clear guidance and insightful reflections, participants experienced a state of inner calm, focused awareness, and mental rejuvenation. The session left a deep and lasting impact, illustrating how meditation can be effortlessly integrated into daily life beyond cultural and geographical boundaries.
The programme concluded with a sincere vote of thanks by Mr. R. Ramachandran who acknowledged the collective efforts of the organizers and participants. The event was efficiently organizedby Mr. R. Balan, President of NarchinthanaiVattam (NCV). Participants expressed heartfelt appreciation, describing the experience as enriching, uplifting, and transformative.
